12 Days Of Fitness.... again!

I've had quite a few emails over the last couple of weeks asking me
if I was going to run the www.12daysoffitness.com promotion again
this year.

To be honest, I wan't sure if I was as it's a lot of work and I'm
neck deep in a bunch of projects right now.

BUT...

I'm a sucker for doing this kind of stuff. Helping the public gain
access to amazing fitness information whilst at the same time
helping you, the in the trenches fitness trainers build your
mailing lists fast... and for free!

So...

I'm gonna do it.

I'm gonna run the promo again but before I do, I want YOU to help
me with something.

See, before I promote to the 'big list' I have I want you to come
on over to my blog and tell me how you benefitted from last year's
gig.

Why?

Because, last year many people didn't contribute because they
thought there was a catch or because they thought it didn't work.

I want to show them that neither was the case.

So I'm asking all of last year's contributors to blog a response
telling me how many subscribers you got last year, how fast and
what difference it's made to your business.

There's nothing in it for you.

No bribes, bonuses or goodies.

Just my thanks for tearing yourself away from your busy day to help
me out.

CAN you help me out?

I seriously want this next 12 days of fitness to blow the last one
out of the water and with your help, I know we can.

So drop me a line ok?

Dax Moy

P.S - I'm aiming to get 250,000 people signed up this year...
Imagine what access to 250,000 will do for your business!

Are You Telling Your Prospects About this?

Since I got back from Ryan Lee's Bootcamp I've been
inundated with mail asking me one thing in about
100 different ways.

"How do I make my business more successful and get more
OUT of it rather than have it take everything out of ME?"

There are literally THOUSANDS of ways to do do
this but the fastest, the easiest and the simplest way is....

(This is so obvious but so ignored)

Tell people how to get what they want.

Obvious it may be, but very few fitness marketers actually
tell people how to get what they want.

Instead, they post a bunch of stuff about their qualifications,
their knowledge base, their skillset, their gym, their equipment.

You name it, they tell about it but they still don't do the obvious.

They don't say "Do this and this and this and you'll get what you want"

Shame, because that's where all the rewards are.

Take a good look over your marketing materials, your website, your
flyers, your ads. Are you actually talking to the wants of your prospects?

I think you'll be surprised!

That's why my good friend Craig Ballantyne and I have created the
ultimate 'How To Build Your Fitness Business' workshop in London, UK
next month.

No theory or philosophy just a 'How To' blueprint to help you get what
YOU want.

Craig sent me this video today, you should check it out!

Told you so!  :)

We're going to teach you EXACTLY how to build you business, both online and off, and we're even going to guarantee it. If you think our day together didn't help you just ask for a refund and you got it.

No excuses now, huh?

Wanna find out more?

Go see if you qualify for one of the 35 places!

See you there!

Dax Moy

P.S - Even if you DON'T come, you still need to figure out how to tell your prospects how to get what they want. Are you doing it as well as you think you are?

How do you know?

These Failure Ingredients Will Kill Your Personal Training Business

One of my new readers from my MAGIC Hundred program, Michael, just sent me this in an email and I thought it too good not to share.

After all, if we're looking for success it makes sense to look out for what might serve to trip us up doesn't it?

Check out the list and see if you've any of these failure ingredients and, if you have take action right away to set things right...

1. No Written Goals--
Doesn't know what s/he wants out of life and has no direction.

2. No Commitment--Does not put forth action.

3. Only Interested in Personal Profits--
Doesn't care about helping OTHERS succeed.

4. No Answering Machine or answering service.
Does not make him/herself easily accessible.

5. UNWILLING TO STUDY THIS WAY OF LIFE.
Has not taken the time to learn.

6. Doesn't Follow-up on prospects and customers.

7. Gives Up Easily--usually quits within the first 90 days.

8. Gets Discouraged Easily--
Lets small problems and inconveniences stand in his/her way.

9. Lazy--
Wants to reap the rewards of others’ labors without working.

10. Doesn't Handle Complaints from customers.

11. Doesn't Recognize or Acknowledge others’ accomplishments.

12. Doesn't nurture his/her business on a consistent basis.

13. Blames the company, the products, the marketing plan,
lack of support from others, etc. Doesn't realize that if others
can succeed under similar circumstances, s/he can too.

14.Too Impatient--
Wants to make big money too soon. Is not willing to pay the price.

15. Takes "No" Personally--
Doesn't realize that "No" only means not now;
give me a good reason to say "Yes."
Stops calling people the first time s/he hears a "No."

16. Can't Cope with Changes from the company.
Isn't willing to be flexible in thinking.

17. Spends Too Much Time getting organized
and too little time present the program to prospects and customers.

18. Has An Unprofessional Appearance
(the equivalent in online marketing would be a poorly developed
and poorly organized signature line and/or poor spelling).

19. Thinks S/he Knows Everything--
is unwilling to take guidance from others.

20. Doesn't Read or keep up with what is going on in the industry.

Ryan Lee's Bootcamp 3 Sucked!

It's true, Ryan Lee's third bootcamp absolutely sucked...

...if you weren't there, that is! : )

I was fortunate enough to be the closing speaker of the event and
had an amazing time with some of the most motivated and passionate
fitness professionals I've ever met in my life and I can tell you
this.

If you didn't choose to go, thought you couldn't afford it or
simply couldn't (or wouldn't) make the time then you missed out.

You missed out BIG!

Just 1 tip I picked up at the event has already earned me over $2000.

I'm not joking!

I heard the idea, during the next coffee break I implemented it
and, by the time the day was over I had already earned nearly
$1000. By the time I woke up for breakfast I was at $1500 and now,
as I sit here in Newark airport NY, I'm $2000 up.

1 idea!

And I have over 100 things to implement over the next few days...

You should have come. I mean it.

Not only were the technical and marketing tips a goldmine for those
who take action, but the networking and mixing with other fitness
professionals was priceless too.

I personally made over 20 commitments to new joint ventures and I
know guys who have already started new businesses and websites
DURING the weekend as a result of their networking.

You SHOULD have been there!

But it's finished.

It's over.

Done and dusted.

I don't know when Ryan will run the next one but when he announces
it in a year, two or three, you make the commitment to go ok?

In the meantime, I want to invite you to come spend a day with me
and Craig Ballantyne in London next month where we'll be guiding a
select group of 35 fitness professionals through a step by step 'do
this, don't do that' blueprint for fitness business success.

I won't pitch you on it here, if you're interested in finding
out more you can go to www.personaltrainersuccessacademy.com/cbdax.htm
and find out if you qualify to attend.

Just check it out.

Then decide how serious you are about your success and take the
appropriate action.

See you there!

P.S - Tomorrow I'll send you one of the great new tips I learned this weekend
so that you can apply it to YOUR business.

You Only Get Paid For 'Done'!

Every single day I get emails from my readers asking me to help them with their businesses.

"What am I doing wrong?"
They ask.

"I'm doing everying I'm being told to do by all the fitness marketing experts!"

"I'm doing my website stuff, my email stuff, my listbuilding stuff, my public speaking stuff, my free report stuff...

I'm doing all of it but I still haven't seen any real difference in my business. What am I doing wrong????"

This kind of question used to baffle me, both personally and as a success coach. I'd think to myself, 'they seem to be doing everything right, what's the problem here?'.

Then, one day when I found myself going through a sticking point in my business I stumbled across the answer and, since I did, I've managed to see not only my own profits explode but those of every student I work with.

The answer?

The focus on 'doing' instead of 'done'.

You see, we all get ADD when it comes to our own businesses.

We have attention deficit disorder to the degree that we feel that the success we're looking for can only be achieved by doing.

"Do more!" becomes our mantra as we attempt to add to our bottom line.

So we do more.

We start another report... even though the last one isn't finished yet.

We create a second website... even theough the first isn't converting yet.

We run another ad series... even though the last one hasn't finished or its effectiveness measured.

We do more and more and more.

But doing more doesn't really cut it when it comes to success. We don't get paid for what we're DOING. If we did then most of us would be millionaires by now.

The truth of the matter is, you only get paid for what you've DONE.

Obvious really, but most truths are.

Nonetheless, this is the most critical lesson you'll ever learn about achievement in ANY field of endeavor.

Get stuff done!

It bears repeating; you only get paid for DONE.

So don't add more to your to do list. In fact, rip the darn thing up and focus on 1 or 2 really important things and get them done, get paid and get to getting something else done.

Just stop doing, ok?

To your success!

Dax Moy
www.personaltrainersuccessacademy.com

P.S - It was only once Tim Goodwin moved from DOING to DONE that
his business success really 'arrived'

"Since first coming on the course 18 months ago, the change in my fitness business has been immense.

In the first 12 months, i went from a part time disorganised business which earned me very little in terms of a sustaining income to a full time business with a intern trainer taking on clients, multiplying my income by 4!

This year, i have gone on to having a waiting list for both my own and my other coaches appointment book, but still only taking clients for four 7 hour days a week. I have increased my monthly income by 30% in the last 4 months with the creation of an incredibly popular group training program. From September I will be running a new Intern training program to bring on at least 2 new coaches to join my team, finishing a couple of new information products, as well as inducting a few trainers to run the group training workouts leaving me more time to work on my business.

I consistently attract better performing, better paying and happier clients, and all this despite more than doubling my fees under Dax's advice.

I see myself now at phase 2 of my development, now with many systems in place, and more coaches joining me, I see this next 12 months as the opportunity to build a true business that works for me rather than the other way around!

Yes there has been some difficult times, where I did not know which way was up, but the books I have read and the advice I have taken on board from the mentor program has allowed me to come through these times stronger and better prepared for the future.

It is impossible to say which part of the Mentor program has given me the most benefit, it is not JUST the marketing, or the system building, or the mindset, it really is the complete mentoring program."

Three Questions For Personal Trainer Success

I received an email today from a struggling trainer asking me how
he could find more clients for his PT business which, by his own
admission, is struggling badly at the moment.

As his mail was the subject of a section of the seminar I'm running
with Craig Ballantyne next month
I thought I'd take the time to
answer him personally and did so by asking the question I ask EVERY
trainer I coach.

"Who's your IDEAL client?"

The answer I got back, almost immediately, was, to say the least,
vague.

This fella simply didn't have a clue about who he should be
marketing to and had set the simple criteria of 'anyone with a
wallet and a pulse'.

Big mistake!

(Being a subscriber to this newsletter, you know this already,
right?)

What this trainer was lacking was an affirmative answer, a yes, to
the following 3 qualifying questions that ALL marketing is hinged
upon.

A 'No' to any one of them spells a death sentence to your efforts
to find, get or keep a client.

Question 1: Do your clients (or the people you're trying to attract as clients) actually WANT your product or service?

Too obvious right? But far, far too often overlooked.

Personal training clients DON'T want personal training. They want fat loss, weight loss, sixpack abs, buns of steel, to lose the baby fat, to banish the back pain. They want specific.

If you're giving them 'general' fitness, if you're giving them postural correction and they want fat loss (no matter how much you think they need it) then they won't want what you're selling.

They either won't sign up in the first place, or they will but pretty soon quit.

Lesson: Match your marketing (and your training) to the clients you want and who in turn want you.

Question 2: Do they have the ability to pay for your product or service?

Simple question again, but ignored nearly always.

If you only sell your programs in package format that requires a large initial outlay and your prospective client lives week to week from their paycheque then you're onto a loser.

If you're a 'high end' coach (like me) who charges well beyond the average fees then advertising in your local rag 'because it's cheap' is wasting your money because your ideal client won't be reading it.

If you love training kids but their parents don't love paying for the priviledge then...

Lesson: If you're truly running a BUSINESS rather than building a job position, you have to, HAVE TO know that your clients and prospects have the ability to pay. If they don't you don't get to be, do and have the things that you want from your business.

Question Three: Do they have the AUTHORITY to pay for your product or services?

Strange as it may sounds, many people aren't authorised to buy your services (even if they have the money).

Wives or husbands who have to ask 'the other half' are an example. If they can't make the decision by themselves then they're not authorised.

Kids too.

But it doesn't stop there. Corporate sectors are renown for getting up the hopes of trainers with tales of bootcamp contracts, seminar bookings, weight management courses etc only to cancel them later when the boss finds out what they've agreed to.

Lesson: Make sure that when you're promoting the product or service that you address the authority issue by asking if they are 'allowed' to go ahead and commit. If they're not, don't waste your time or effort.

Not rocket science, but apply the three questions to your next marketing efforts and watch your marketing efforts multiply massively in next to no time.

To your success!

Dax Moy and Craig Ballantyne's Six Months In 1 Day Bootcamp In London

You know, despite what you've been told there are only 2 ways to
grow your fitness business.

Just 2.

1. The Slow Way - This is where you take the 'steady' or 'organic'
approach building your business day by day, week by week and year
by year in the hope that 'one day' (whenever that may be) you'll
achieve the success you hope for.

2. The Fast Way - This is where the effect of every step you take
in your business is multiplied many times over producing results far
in excess of the the time, effort, energy and money invested in it,
showing you consistent results day in day out even when you're not
working.

Now, tell me, which one do you prefer?

If it's the first way then you're in luck. There's absolutely
nothing for you to do. Just keep on doing what you've always done
the way you've always done it.

If it's the second then you need to get on over to
http://www.personaltrainersuccessacademy.com/cbdax.htm
and find out how Craig Ballantyne and I are going to help a select
hand-picked group of just 35 fitness entrepreneurs rocket launch
their income with our fitness business blueprints and allowing them
to easily earn over six months worth of income from a 1 day
bootcamp.

The ESSENTIAL Action You Must Take For Personal Training Success

I've literally just finished my friday team meeting with the coaches in my Islington studios in London where we spent 2 hours talking about how we can improve on the performance of the company.

This is a weekly ritual where we conduct a no-B.S 'autopsy' of the past week figure out what worked, what didn't and what needs to be improved upon. This is the most valuable 2 hours of the entire week, I can tell you.

Well, this week was no exception. In fact, I'd say it was one of the most important team meetings we've had in a long time because it contained a message that my team REALLY needed to hear and, in all likelihood, what most of my readers need to hear too.

The message was a reminder, an urging, no, a DEMAND that each and every member of my company remember what our business is about.

A little background...

Over the last few weeks since I returned from my vacation I've been studying my team and how they conduct business.

They're all great coaches, very passionate, dedicated and hard working so I'm very fortunate in that they actually WANT to be great coaches.

Unfortunately, in my absence they picked up a habit that was harming not only them, but my business as well.

They started equating the time that they spent at work with how valuable their work was to the business. For example, whilst they all complete a 40 hour week of time AT work, much of that time was spent on activities that had zero effect on the growth and success of the company.

For example, lets say they performed 18 PT appointments and 5 hours of marketing activity. That's 23 hours. Add to that 4 hours of staff training and the team meeting and we're up to 27 hours of productive work.

That leaves 13 hours of non earning, non learning and non-productive time each and every week where they're reading emails, scouring the web, waiting for clients, chatting with colleagues and, to be blunt, wasting time.

13 hours.

That almost a third of a working week where they're failing to take action on the core imperative of business...

To find, acquire and keep clients.

In other words, to engage in the activities that add to the bottom line value of both the company and their own bank accounts.

This is the most essential activity for success, not just in personal training but in all business.

It's the only reason for the existance of ANY business.

In fact, if you're not actively seeking, finding and keeping clients then you don't have a business at all. You have a part time job and one that can dry up at any time.

The thing is, most of us don't realise that we've substituted the important for the less important.

We confuse busy-ness with business and, in doing so, ruin any real chance of success.

Maybe YOU'RE doing this too? Believing that because
you've been busy all day that you've been productive?
That you're adding to the net worth of your company?

If you are... stop it!

I mean it, stop it right away.

Get in the habit of stopping several times a day and asking yourself this simple, yet powerful question:

'Is what I'm doing either part of seeking, acquiring or keeping a client?'

If the answer is no, then quit it immediately (no matter how much importance you've attached to redesigning that workout template) and get to working on something that is.

Hardly rocket science, I know, but who said success has to be complicated, right?

Spend the next 7 days asking yourself the question and see for yourself what impact it makes on your business.

You'll be amazed!

To your success
